High-Res Satellite Images of Haiti from Space

High-Res Satellite Images of Haiti from Space
Found satellite images of Haiti after the earthquake through Gizmodo.  Even with all the technology we have, there is still a lot of work to do.  Even with various forms of powers of prediction, we still can’t prevent much.

New Years…

New Years…
So we haven’t done much recently.  At all.  We’ll try to get back to writing posts about the exciting things that are going to happen in 2010.  As a final note, I would like to mention that the way you should say “2010” is “twenty-ten.”  That is all. Thanks – hope everyone has a good...

Revival! – With Pictures!

Revival! – With Pictures!
So it’s certainly been a while!  Over 6 weeks really.  Wow – I’m a jerk for starting something and not seeing it through.  Well – that ends now.  School is over and I have absolutely no excuse to not update Chenzen again like I did in the past.

ChenZen Unites! In Rochester!

ChenZen Unites! In Rochester!
So last weekend (the weekend of the 3rd), I had an extra few days off because of the phenomenon known as Pacing Break at Lehigh University.  Basically, I get a 4-day weekend after the first set of exams here.  Anyway, I took advantage of this long break and visited Danny all the way up in Rochester!

FluTracking!

FluTracking!
Are you worried about swine flu in your area (even though you really shouldn’t be)?  Then be worried no longer cause lifehacker has found a nice flutracking web app that gives you an easy to read overview of where there are outbreaks and whatnot.

9-29-09: Documenting returning from NYC

9-29-09: Documenting returning from NYC
So I haven’t had any time lately due to school and just random events, but I am still trying to make an effort to log my life in pictures.  I am taking my camera with me everywhere now, which is good, but I still miss opportunities to just snap away when I should.  I did take a few shots of when...

College Tests

College Tests
So when I was first entering college, I was under the impression that my grades would be determined by 1 or 2 tests in each class during the semester and nothing else.  Well – for some classes this is true, but, for the most part, your class work, homework, and the whatnot factor into your grades...

Epic Fail: Apple Pie Style

Epic Fail: Apple Pie Style
So on Sunday, I decided to delve into the secret arts of baking Apple Pie.  I didn’t expect this to be difficult in the least, so I even took the plunge to try to make 2 of them.  Oh boy, did I fail epically.  Let’s see how and where I went wrong!

Working for school

Working for school
So school life here at Lehigh University has started again.  This means classes have started, endless nights of parties have started (I have so much homework already), and (well at least for me) working has started again.

Review: District 9

Review: District 9
WARNING: This review contains spoilers. So this movie took me by surprise when I watched it with my mother on Friday.  Everyone has been telling me how good of a movie it was, but I was still a bit skeptical.  That is, until I actually saw it.

First day of classes again!

First day of classes again!
So, exciting news: school started.  Again.  It’s funny how ever since you turn about 5 years old, you start going to school.  Then you basically stay in an institution for at least the next 12/13 years.

Saturday: How do you take a break?

Saturday: How do you take a break?
So Danny and I have been working basically non-stop on ChenZen the past week or so getting the site up, writing posts, publicizing, talking to people, and trying to stabilize our server space, among many other things as well.  So I officially declare that every Saturday, starting from this Saturday,...

IchiUmi [一海]: Japanese Buffet

IchiUmi [一海]: Japanese Buffet
So Danny took me, Riceboy0019 (Sherman), and a few other of our friends to a Japanese Buffet near Menlo Park Mall in New Jersey last night called IchiUmi (or One Ocean if I’m right).  To be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much from a buffet, but was going to try to eat more than my share since I...

Yankees vs. Toronto: Game 2

Yankees vs. Toronto: Game 2
So Tuesday I went to a baseball game.  The game was the New York Yankees vs. the Toronto Blue Jays.  Went with three of my friends via the train to New York from New Brunswick.  One of my friends lives on the Rutgers campus, so we went to his house first and then walked over to the station. I don’t...

8 on the Break

8 on the Break
So the other night I went with Misfire and Kaisuri to 8 on the break.  This is the local arcade that is near our houses.  Actually, it’s the only arcade near our houses, but they’re usually stocked with a few of the newest games out there.  The place is kind small and the interior resembles...

There’s spicy, there’s hot, and there’s volcano hot. None of which can describe the new Taco Bell’s Volcano menu.

There’s spicy, there’s hot, and there’s volcano hot. None of which can describe the new Taco Bell’s Volcano menu.
Not usually seeking to satisfy the late-night munchies, I have finally succumbed to late night food advertisement. Last night I went to Taco Bell for my very first time, enticed by the new Volcano menu (and some late night hunger pangs). All I can say is my “Taco-ginity” was robbed of me. Last night,...

Constructing a shed

Constructing a shed
So today my dad needed me at home to help him construct a new vinyl shed in the backyard.  The entire process took about all day, but it was nice to be outside in the nice weather and actually accomplish something.  The way that people manufacture “do-it-yourself” construction kits is pretty...
