Blockbuster closing down 960 stores

Blockbuster closing down 960 stores

Blockbuster is planning on closing 960 out of its 7000 stores due to those stores being unprofitable.  Expect 300 stores to be closed by the end of this year unless Blockbuster decides to redo their business model to make those stores profitable.

It’ll be interesting to see how this folds out as it seems less and less people are going to blockbuster to rent and instead ordering online from services such as NetFlix.blockbusterFull Story [Cnet]

Man, Blockbuster's awesome for renting a few 99 cents flicks after the library's closed, not to mention it's legal.

Ninja Edit: Oh yeah, Red Box. Meh, can't pick up obscure horror films or choose from a library of a few hundred titles on a Red Box.
