So, if you’re from the Touhou community, today was Cirno Day! I assume that if you know what Cirno Day is, you already know why. Here is a brief explanation for those of you who don’t know though!:
Cirno is an ice fairy from the Touhou series and apparently acts childish and stupid. Apparently, ZUN (basically the creator of the Touhou Project) had labeled Cirno as “9. Baka” in a picture of one of his game’s manuals (Baka literally means stupid or dumb). Thus, she was nicknamed “Nine-ball” or “⑨.”
That’s about what sums it up. So being that Wednesday is 9 letters long, September is 9 letters long, Japan’s time zone is +9, September 9th is the 252th day of the year (2+5+2=9), and finally the date is 09/09/09, today has been named “Cirno Day.” So congrats Cirno from Touhou! You have your own day!
