Gamesutra has gotten notice that the developer GRIN, responsible for less than stellar games such as Bionic Commando, Wanted, and Terminator Salvation, has gotten into a bit of trouble. There are reports of sizable layoffs hitting the studio no doubt due in part to weak sales of their recent games. It is believed that the company could now be facing closure, with reports that employees have been told not to show up for work.
GRIN’s first break into recognition was with their PC version of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2, while the console versions were seperate. GRAW for PC was a buggy mess and full of gameplay problems. A main gripe I had with it was the unrealistic AI that plagued the first and second games. At times, it made the game completely unfair when the enemies could shoot you within 0.0001 seconds of seeing them.
