So according to the Telegraph.co.uk, twitter and other social networking sites have been used as a means to add hundreds of new words to the Collins English Dictionary.  They note words such as ‘hmm,’ ‘heh,’ and ‘meh’ as having been added due to the younger generation using them in common speech as well as online. 

Sony is bringing God of War and God Of War II to the PS3 with refinements.  These improvements include 720P support, trophy support, and 60 frames per second.  Of course with the added benefit of Blu-ray, both games will fit on one disc.

WARNING: This review contains spoilers. So this movie took me by surprise when I watched it with my mother on Friday.  Everyone has been telling me how good of a movie it was, but I was still a bit skeptical.  That is, until I actually saw it.

New experimental add-on for Firefox will defragment your Firefox “Places” database which stores your history and bookmarks. Last week’s weekly sales for PC games via Steam and Direct3D were published.  It was a winner for MMOs, specifically Aion and Champions Online. Aion is getting great reviews from outlets and I myself cannot wait to get my hands on it when it hits stores next month.

The drop of the price for the 80GB PS3 model had an immediate effect on the market.  This week, sales have already increased a whopping 30% according to VGChartz.  It seems that the overall sales have not been as high as they would have expected though.

Futurama is returning to the airwaves with the full original voice cast.  The series will now be on Comedy Central beginning in June 2010.  This is rather exciting news, as I am a big fan of this series and loved the animated movies that were released every year.

So a little while ago I wrote my impressions of Canaan, an anime season that is currently ongoing.  Well it seems that Good Smile Company is currently making a Canaan figurine that is now available for pre-order.

Good news for PC gamers, Mass Effect 2 apparently will be simultaneously released with the console versions.  The same team will be building both versions at the same time therefore the game will not be a port. However, given BioWare’s current treatment of Mass Effect 1 for PC, I would be skeptical.

Capcom’s mashup fighter currently available in Japan in arcades and on the Wii will be getting 4 new characters when it comes to the states.  However, no news on who the characters may be. It seems like AT&T are answering the numerous service complaints by rolling out 850 MHz 3G to areas that need it most, in this case Atlanta and in San Francisco.  These improvements according to AT&T will offer more speed capacity and coverage.  Other areas will have 850MHz  at later date.

So recently at [Pocketables], there were a bunch of images released of an unidentified Android MID (Mobile Internet Device).  So far I haven’t been able to find any information on this device, aside from the pictures, but it looks like it will be pretty awesome. 

Sony has announced at GamesCom a PS3 slim that is debuting the first week of September! The slim will boast a significantly smaller form factor which is over 30 percent smaller, lighter and more power efficient than its old bulky version.  Not only that, but it will include a 120GB hard drive.
